The best robot vacuum will clean and vacuum your floors with no effort. It will also leave the floors spotless. Its price is surprisingly low and top-of-the-line features (such as dirt detection) are a plus.

The robots also feature a feature called Carpet Boost that boosts its power when it senses dirt on the carpet.
The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored extremely well in our tests of floors with no carpet and are especially adept in removing dog hair. They do have some flaws, however, that prevent them from being our top choice. One of the Q5's shortcomings is its navigation system does not feature AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's thus susceptible to get stuck on shoes and socks and could not navigate rooms with lots of people well during our tests. Also, it doesn't have cameras that let it see the corners of an area.
It's still a great deal particularly if your office or home has a lot of bare flooring and you're looking to save some money. It's also quiet and can be used while you are at work or at school. The only thing it doesn't have that you won't find in the pricier iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on floors that aren't clean. It's also less effective when it comes to mopping. It relies on disposable wet wipes that don't adhere very well and cannot handle dried-on debris. The Q5 has self-emptying docks, however. And, if Robot Vacuum Mops need to change the mopping pad to a dry one in just a few seconds.
2. IRobot Roomba X30
The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive mopping and vacuuming into a compact, sleek package. Its intelligent cleaning maps and fluid navigation make it simple to clean and effective in tackling larger particles, like pet hair. It also comes with a self-emptying dustbin as well as powerful suction, and support for virtual boundaries. It's the most efficient robot hoover for carpets, although it isn't as efficient as some of its competitors in deep cleaning.

It's more expensive than the iRobot Combo v9+ and iRobot Roomba j9+, however, it comes with superior suction, a dustbin on board that automatically empties into its base, and supports voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can clean the floor even after it has vacuumed. This is something we haven't seen on other robot vacuum/mop combination.
3. Roomba X40 from iRobot
With a sleek, circular design that looks more like a normal Roomba rather than the compact models, this mop and robot vacuum is one of the most appealing looking in our reviews. The latest model from iRobot is among the most intelligent model, with features that are cutting-edge like Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology as well as future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can wash its own mop pads).
It's also the only robotic vacuum/mop to score an absolute 10 out of 10 in our testing. This is thanks to a mix of high-tech sensors, including a structured lighting system, a camera and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that is fully autonomously refill and empty its base station, and it has an the industry's highest suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop pads.
As with other iRobot models like the X40 is user-friendly, offering an intuitive mobile app interface and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant. The only real drawback is that it's still quite loud which could be an issue if you use it in the morning prior to work or at night as you attempt to sleep.
It's also somewhat expensive, though it's not as pricey as the Ecovacs X2 Omni or Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra both of which are similarly capable and more attractive. If you're willing with a bit more noise and some extra cost this is a capable two-in-one that should satisfy most people.
iRobot L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is the top-of-the line robot mop and vacuum. It has a number of advanced features that will help you forget your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaning machine like Ecovacs top-of-the-line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It comes with a multi-function dock that will automatically emptys the vacuum's bin and refills the water tank, and cleans and dry mop pads.
The smart robot makes use of LIDAR and structured lighting to create floorplans and identify obstacles. It is more efficient in its navigation than its premium competitors. It also has a camera mounted on the front for real-time detection of hazards however, it wasn't foolproof in our testing and was occasionally confused by power cords or other obstructions.
The vacuum cleaner has an maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to do the job. It also features "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the amount of time the vac works and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas of the home depending on how dirty they tend to be.
For larger homes it's recommended to choose one with spot or zone cleaning modes that allow you to tell the robot to clean a specific area of your home via the app or via voice commands. A stair mode can be useful if you have a large furniture. For busy families, a recharge function and resume feature that permits your robot vacuum to pick up where it left off could be extremely useful.
iRobot RX3

It is also louder than other top robot vacuums that we've tested. It also comes with an app that's less intuitive and has a tiny base station that does not double as a bin for emptying.
